I had a very positive experience with Precision Dentistry. The front desk does of great job of explaining the steps and process of the procedures. The young lady ( bad with names) who is the dental assistant made me feel right at home and relaxed me, as I prepared for an uneasy dental procedure. Mr. Deckard is very knowledgeable and cool, calm and collected as they come.
Before and after my procedure I had some questions. I sent an email and heard right back the next day with an explanation that helped put me at ease. The also do same day crowns which is great.
Overall, I had a very positive experience, and will recommend by wife to this practice.

I’ve been a patient on and off since 2001, when Dr. Balshaw owned the practice and was always very pleased with the quality of care and the staff. I just had a number of fillings replaced by Dr. Deckard, the first major dental work I’ve had since the early 1990s. I barely felt the anesthetic shots and absolutely no pain throughout the entire procedure. I’ll definitely be recommending this practice to others!

I love this dentist and his staff! I've been going to this practice for 15 years since before it transitioned to Dr. Deckard a few years ago. I was worried because I loved the previous dentist who owned the practice. Dr. Deckard is just as good and just as good-humored. He and his staff (they stayed on after the previous dentist stopped seeing patients) do great work. Getting my twice-yearly cleanings plus anything else that might pop up is always a pleasant experience. Dr. Deckard and his crew really know what they are doing. I highly recommend this practice!

Saw Dr. Deckard because I needed a crown replaced. I've had several replaced over the years, and this was by far my best experience of any dental office I've ever visited. The process was seamless and scheduling easy, I never had to wait, and service was prompt and friendly. Most importantly, the replacement crown fits better than any I've ever had made, and the price was among the most reasonable I've paid. While other dental practices try to sell expensive services, this practice provides great service without trying to get patients to pay more. Highly recommend DC Precision Dentistry and Dr. Deckard.

Just had a crown done on upper left molar. Dr. Deckard did such a great job I didn’t even have to change my Invisalign retainer. The new crown was so close in shape to the original tooth it was a perfect fit. Had I needed it, he offered to try to adjust my existing retainer. Also unheard of usually that’s another 300+ $ another dentist would be happy to charge. He squeezed me in on short notice. I am very very pleased which is saying a lot after getting a crown, usually - traumatic experience involving multiple visits and fittings. Also it was all done in office same day! Zero hassle factor. Dr. Deckard is really, really good. Puts you at ease. First dentist I've ever not dreaded visiting. I went to him in the throes of the COVID pandemic last May when I needed an emergency root canal. He was patient, alleviated my pain and solved the overall problem. Then, he sketched out a longer-term plan for me after I'd sort of ignored dental health for a while: a deep cleaning, a crown, a couple of cavities needing to be filled in. We did it all, and he was helpful every step of the way. For folks in DC who need a dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Deckard. His staff rocks, too.

Justin Deckard is the best and most compassionate dentist I've ever been to. He's also just an extraordinarily kind person. He took an emergency appointment with me when I was in severe pain, which turned into a root canal on Thanksgiving Eve. I was in tears, but he calmed my nerves, numbed me into next week, and I felt nothing during the whole procedure. He called to check on me that night and made sure I had enough pain medication to get me through the next few days. Since then I've seen him for crowns, fillings, and grinding issues, and hygienist Amy for my cleanings. He has never let me sit there in pain-just patiently waits for the novocaine to kick in. I recently moved out of state but I fly back for my appointments - he's that good. I will never go anywhere else.
